[The Meaning] Kirameki is Japanese for 'glittering' or 'sparkling'.
Behind the Name
Well, for some reason, names that have to do with a shining and/or sparkling music sound good to me. My old MSH [Manga-Scanlation Hosting] site is called Radiant Rhapsody. Kirameki Melody means something along the lines of, "Sparkling Music", as you may have already figured out. 'Sparkling' sounded boring in English, so I looked it up in Japanese, and my results were pikapika, kirameki, & kirakira. I had a few thoughts then. Here they are:¤ Pikapika...Oh, so that's where Pikachu gets its name.
¤ Kirakira? I think that's a book my sister read a while ago...
¤ Kirameki...I dunno anything about this one. Hmm...
So that's the story. It just like me to pick the name which dosen't ring any bells.
[Note:] I looked up Kirameki on Google, and it turns out most the results I got were for some anime called, "Kirameki Project", which is an anime Sci-Fi series, I think.
